Free Family Art Day & Summer Art Camp Open House

Free Family Art Day & Summer Art Camp Open House

Presented by The Umbrella Arts Center at The Umbrella Arts Center

Free Family Art Days at The Umbrella Arts Center are a great opportunity for families to be creative together and to enjoy art in a fun and affordable way. In this program, families will engage in art-making activities designed and taught by talented art instructors. Projects use a variety of art materials, professional artist tools, and mediums, and may incorporate seasonal themes throughout the year. By design, projects take between 30-45 minutes.

It is a great way to come see the light and spacious new Umbrella classrooms, and to learn about all of the classes, afterschool, vacation week, summer camp and independent art programs on offer.

On Monday, February 17, between 2PM and 5PM, at the start of February School Vacation Week, families of any age and size are welcomed to join us for free art activities. Interested families can also stay for the Summer Camp Open House to learn about The Umbrella's three creative summer camps for 2020, including Summer Arts Under The Umbrella Camp, the combined Arts & Recreation Camp in partnership with Concord Recreation, and the new Ninjas in Nature Arts & Environment Summer Camp.

For Family Art Day, please keep the following guidelines in mind.

An adult must accompany children under 5 years old at all times.
If the room reaches capacity at the time of your arrival, you may have to wait until space opens up.
Families that arrive less than 30 mins before closing time may not have time to finish a project. Typically, if this is the case, art materials can be taken home to finish.
Classes end promptly at the scheduled time.
