John Christian Anderson’s sculpture contemplates themes of dislocation and temporality. Jeffu Warmouth’s exhibition explores self-portraiture through inflatable photographic sculpture.
John Christian Anderson’s solo exhibition Dancing In The Bardo contemplates contemporary themes of dislocation and temporality. Combining found material and fabricated forms, Anderson’s recent sculptures utilize hanging, leaning, and stacking to express impermanence and fragility.
Jeffu Warmouth’s solo exhibition Urgent Blowout, his first at Boston Sculptors Gallery, explores transformative self-portraiture through inflatable photographic sculpture. The central work is a ten-foot wide inflatable head, hollowed out and filled with dozens of smaller fabric heads, sewn from 3D photographic scans of the artist.
