Cancelled: National Geographic Live with world-renowned photographer Joel Sartore

Presented by The Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts at The Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts

World-renowned National Geographic photographer Joel Sartore is on a mission to document every species in human care before it disappears, and to get people to care while there’s still time. To date, Sartore has photographed more than 9,500 of an estimated 12,000 species living in the world’s zoos and wildlife sanctuaries for the National Geographic Photo Ark. His images inspire action and compassion through education and help save wildlife by supporting on-the-ground conservation efforts. Once completed, the Photo Ark will serve as an important record of each animal’s existence and a powerful testament to the importance of saving them.

Hear about the inspiration, comical mishaps and endearing encounters behind Sartore’s mission to change the world, one photo, and one species, at a time.

National Geographic Live is the live events division of National Geographic. Its broad roster of talent, including renowned photographers, scientists, authors, filmmakers and adventurers, share their behind-the-scenes stories from the front lines of exploration alongside stunning imagery and gripping footage to audiences throughout the United States and abroad.

Presented in partnership with the Ecotarium
