This program combines thoughtful fiber art created by Adrienne Sloane in response to current events, with three world premieres by Maria Finkelmeier and Eden Macadam Somer.
Our final concert of the season features two world premieres by two of Boston’s most dynamic performers: Eden MacAdam Somer and Maria Finkelmeier.
With performances by Eden MacAdam Somer, violin/vocals; the Cuatro Puntos string quartet, Sarah Bob, piano; and Maria Finkelmeier, percussion. This program is titled after Eden MacAdam-Somer’s featured world premiere string quartet, acting as a witness to the culture of violence the U.S. has cultivated with the intent to act as an initiation of conversation. Textile sculptures by Adrienne Sloane take on similar topics from current events. Tickets for each concert are $20 general admission and $15 for students, seniors and children. Tickets may be purchased at the door. A reception follows all events. All concerts are at 25 Lowell Street, Cambridge. Limited parking is available in the adjacent lot or on the street.
