Find out what love was like in Colonial America this Valentine’s Day with a special reading of the love letters between John and Abigail Adams. Their iconic personalities come to life as actors from The Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum read and perform a selection of letters and reveal, in the words of John and Abigail Adams, their teasing humor and their undying love and respect for each other.

Perfect for the romantic history lover, John and Abigail’s enduring sentiments will provide an insightful picture of 18th-century American life in the Boston area and beyond. These intimate letters also reveal the intellectually and emotionally fulfilling relationship between them that lasted 54 years and withstood historical upheavals, long periods apart, and personal tragedies.

Tickets are $39 per person or $69 per couple and include a fruit and cheese plate and one complimentary drink per person. The performances will be taking place in Abigail’s Tea Room (named after Abigail Adams) located in the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum. Performances of Unconditional Love: The Letters of John and Abigail Adams will be held on February 9th, 10th, and the 14th (Valentine’s Day).
