William Diamond Junior Fife & Drum Corps

William Diamond Junior Fife & Drum Corps

The William Diamond Junior Fife and Drum Corps consists of youth ages 8 to 18 who perform in dozens of events each year throughout New England, including the Lexington Patriot’s Day and Fourth of July parades, the First Night Boston Parade and the annual Boston Tea Party Reenactment. Every other year the William Diamond Juniors tour abroad, having performed in Ireland, the UK and Switzerland.

The Corps is named for William Diamond, the youth whose drum called the Minute Men to the Lexington Green on April 19, 1775 for the first skirmish of the American Revolution.

Over the past two decades, the William Diamond Junior Fife & Drum Corps has instilled the values of responsibility, teamwork and personal discipline to hundreds of children and youths. The musicians have also helped historic fife and drum continue to thrive and to attract future fifers and drummers.
