The Weckmann Project began when seven Boston-based musicians got together to read the rarely played works of Matthias Weckmann, who wrote some of the most beautiful and difficult chamber music of the 17th century. Half a year later, the project has expanded to include music by Castello, Frescobaldi, Ferro, Allegri, and many others.
