ArtsBoston is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting the arts.
The Chorus was founded in 1985 by a group of teachers from the Somerville Schools. It is now a diverse ensemble of vocalists from all over the Boston region and Somerville. Auditions are not required. The Chorus plays an active role in the Somerville community with two concert performances each year and additional outreach to elderly, disabled, and mobility impaired residents. We perform at the Mayor’s inauguration, the Somerville Museum, the annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony, and the annual “Illuminations Tour” of neighborhood Christmas decorations.
