ArtsBoston is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting the arts.

We are a non-profit community art education space which offers everyone, at all levels of ability, exceptional opportunities to make, exhibit, view, think about and talk about art.

Who We Are

We are proud of the scope and reach of our programs. Annually, we offer 450+ classes for adults, teens, and children and enroll more than 2,500 students from more than 56 different municipalities. Our school vacation and summer programs offer a safe and engaging space for parents and caregivers to send their children. We are the only nonprofit, educational venue in Newton solely dedicated to the visual arts.

Our exhibitions program showcases the artwork of students and faculty and is an integral part of our community. We operate galleries both at our building at 61 Washington Park as well as satellite galleries. Learn more about our galleries and exhibitions here.

We also actively support the community-at-large with free art experiences to ensure everyone has access to quality arts programming. Annually, we offer:

  • Weekly, private outreach classes for developmentally delayed young adults
  • Weekly, private art experiences for women and families seeking shelter from domestic violence
  • 4+ Drop in Family Days for art making, all free and open to the public
  • Full and partial scholarships for adults and children
