The Maudslay Arts Center is a popular cultural and entertainment destination that has served tens of thousands of patrons since its founding in 1992. Situated in a picturesque corner of the 442-acre Maudslay State Park in Newburyport, Massachusetts, the MAC is best known for its outstanding Summer concert series. However, from mid-May through mid-October, it is also a popular setting for special events such as weddings, corporate functions, educational activities, reunions, and more.

MAC founders Nicholas Costello, Sr., the late Edward Molin, and Jim Gaines chose this particular section of the park for the venue because the setting includes a natural amphitheater with superb acoustics for outdoor concerts, and a number of restored outbuildings (including a chicken coop, piggery, and cow barn) that house a variety of indoor activities (including performances in inclement weather).

Over the years, thanks to private investment, donations, corporate sponsorships, and untold hours of volunteer work, major renovations have been made to the historic structures and grounds to enhance the aesthetics and amenities. With the launch of the 2012 season, patrons will find updated exterior lighting, new window boxes and plantings in the performance areas, re-graded pathways and handicapped parking facilities.
