ArtsBoston is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting the arts.

Our Mission
Mass Poetry supports poets and poetry in Massachusetts. We help to broaden the audience of poetry readers, bring poetry to readers of all ages and transform people’s lives through inspiring verse. We are a tax exempt, non-profit organization.

Our Largest Programs
The Massachusetts Poetry Festival
Three days of readings, workshops, panels, performances, and celebrations.

Statewide Student Day of Poetry
Each year, we bring students together for an intensive day of poetry workshops and performances.

In-School Student Days of Poetry
We take the elements of Statewide Student Day of Poetry on the road, directly into middle and high schools across the state.

Common Threads
We produce ~10 poems by Massachusetts poets, videos, and a guide to reading and discussing the poems, as well as carrying out local outreach to organize hundreds of readings and discussion groups. Published each April.

Hear Here: Poetry in Public Spaces
We hold poetry readings in public spaces with high foot traffic, allowing people to experience poetry without having to seek it out themselves.

U35 Reading Series
Starting in May 2014, we will be taking over U35, a reading series for poets under the age of 35, founded by Daniel Pritchard of Boston Review and The Critical Flame. Held every other month at Marliave in Downtown Crossing.
