Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition, a non-profit organization, is the state’s leading breast cancer organization with a unique focus on the prevention of breast cancer. Statewide incidence rates have recently been reported to be the highest in the nation by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Despite millions of dollars being poured into “breast cancer awareness” efforts every year, the fact remains: one in eight women will experience a breast cancer diagnosis in their lifetime. This is not acceptable. MBCC is understands that to eradicate breast cancer we must prevent it.  This does not refer to early detection in the form of self breast exams and mammography.  We are seeking the causes of breast cancer so that we can prevent every woman and every man from ever being diagnosed in the first place.
