The Lakeville Arts & Music Festival sponsored by the Lakeville Arts Council, is FREE to the community and a celebration of the arts and culture in the southeastern region of Massachusetts. At the festival you will view arts and culture in many forms… the more familiar to us is music, various entertainment such as Mary Poppins, a Town Crier or local high school talent like cheerleaders, cultural programs such as a Civil War encampment available all day to show items of the time period and to answer questions, and crafts such as photography, weaving, quilting, knitting, and more. However, the Festival also considers our local churches and non profit organizations as a form of culture and art…they are encouraged to participate at this annual event to showcase their talents and missions. Churchs bake and/or cook the lunches of the day while non profit organizations inform the community of their individual missions which could be a “No Kill” Cat Shelter, the local Garden Club looking for new members, the Conservation Commission takes a booth to spend the word about their work or the Town Clerk available for residents of any town to “Register to Vote”.
