Heritage Chorale

Heritage Chorale

Heritage Chorale is an auditioned, adult, mixed community chorus or approximately 100 singers from 25 towns in Massachusetts. Our Director is John Finney, also Director of the Boston College University Chorale and Symphony Orchestra. John is the Choral Director at the Wellesley Hills Congregational Church and former Associate Director and Concertmaster of the Handel & Haydn Society. Our Associate Director and Accompanist is Darryl Hollister.

We perform 3 concerts per season – two classical and one Pops. Every few years we take summer concert tours to such places as Ireland and Prague.

In recent years, the Chorale has performed Carmina Burana, The Messiah, the Bluegrass Mass, Rutter’s Mass of the Children, and the Requiems of Mozart, Brahms, Fauré and Duruflé.

For the 2016-2017 Season we have planned “Great Opera Choruses” in November, Pops in February and Mendelssohn’s epic oratorio, “Elijah” for May.

We welcome new singers at two open rehearsals in September and again in February. For more detailed information on open rehearsals and auditions, visit our website “Join Us” page.
