Friends of the South Harwich Meetinghouse, Inc.

Friends of the South Harwich Meetinghouse, Inc. is a non-profit dedicated to the preservation of the South Harwich Meetinghouse as center for cultural arts, education and community enrichment.  The 1836 South Harwich Meetinghouse, still standing on its original site, is an exemplary model of early Greek and Gothic design.  Our members have worked tirelessly in their effort to return the Meetinghouse to its original condition, worthy of its recognition in the National Register of Historic Places, and a proud recipient of the 2019 Massachusetts Historic Commission Preservation Award.  The warmth and intimacy of our beautifully restored 1836 South Harwich Meetinghouse along with its unsurpassed acoustics, makes it the ideal location music.
