The Friends’ Mission is to preserve and enhance the park as a recreational resource for residents, workers and visitors in the City of Boston.
Pursuing their goal, the Friends of Copley Square raise funds to:
- Supplement funding where extraordinary maintenance is required, such as the fountain and the irrigation system
- Raise capital and provide management when improvements or additions to the park (new furnishings, additional plantings) are desirable.
- Cooperate with the Parks Department in developing uses that enhance the appeal of the Park and build a constituency for its continued improvement and protection.
