EventWorks was established as an event production team in 1977 in the Studio for Interrelated Media (SIM) major at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Through the years it has put on an exciting array of arts based functions in our beautiful and plentiful spaces at MassArt. The team has always been composed of SIM students. SIM is a community of creatively inclined individuals from widely diverse artistic backgrounds. Our talents range from fine arts to bizarre and obscure forms of expression. We are ambitious, hardworking, and collaborative. The identity of our group comes from an emphasis on student leadership through weekly productions and critiques. Each week the work of other SIM students is curated, assembled and presented entirely by student producers. In order to survive in this environment it is necessary that we be highly self motivated. It goes without saying that EventWorks producers must venture beyond our limits in order to meet the expectations of ourselves, our teachers, our collaborators and our audience.
