Berkshire Gateway Preservation, Inc. was formed in March 2012 out of the realization that historic structures in downtown Lee have significant upkeep requirements that may be beyond the current owners financial capabilities. BGP’s mission is the preservation of these historic structures in downtown Lee and to use these facilities for quality performing arts and education programs. Our goal is to continue the preservation efforts. There are many historic buildings, sites, and monuments in Lee that could be lost if we delay our efforts in preservation. Our shared cultural heritage requires our attention if they are to be saved for future generations.
