Mark Walker’s “You Get What You Give” CD Release Night

It all starts with rhythm. Grammy Award winning drummer and Grammy nominated composer Mark Walker has worked extensively with a who’s who of jazz, like Paquito D’Rivera, Oregon, Lyle Mays, Michel Camilo, Eliane Elias and the Caribbean Jazz Project. With his debut album as a leader, “You Get What You Give” (featuring Paquito D’Rivera), he steps into the spotlight and presents an invigorating program of original jazz compositions and standards arranged in funky, soulful and authentic Afro-Latin rhythms. In his return to TCAN, Walker will present some of the top musicians of the business, including Alain Mallet (Paul Simon, Madeleine Peyroux), Mike Tucker (Arturo Sandoval), Oscar Stagnaro (Paquito D’Rivera), Greg Hopkins (Buddy Rich) and Ernesto Diaz (Mango Blue).

Mark will also present a free drum clinic at 4 pm!
