Workshop: Wet Felted Autumn Leaves

Students will learn how to make beautiful wired and bendable autumn leaves out of felt to adorn a table or one’s self. Each student will complete at least 3 leaves.

Fiber arts instructor Elizabeth Stubbs studied art at Boston University, where she earned a BFA in painting. Following graduation, she spent many years as an art teacher at the Winsor School in Boston. Later, she studied illustration at the Art Institute of Boston and became a freelance illustrator. She discovered the ancient art of felt-making during her training to become a Waldorf teacher and has been exploring it for 20 years.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM: The Umbrella is a multifunction, nonprofit regional arts center dedicated to enriching lives and building a vibrant and inclusive creative community in historic Concord/Greater Boston-Metrowest.
