Join us for an intriguing look at what it was like to be a woman in the late 19th and early 20th century.
Vocals and live music will accompany a slide show projecting English translations of Rabindranath Tagore’s works. He was a Nobel Laureate composer whose prolific thoughts permeated multiple forms of art including song, dance, painting, drama, poetry, prose, articles and music. A discussion will follow. This project is supported in part by a grant from the Newton Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
