Art and cultural history lecture covering the new awakening to Early Christianity and Neoplatonism during the Renaissance. One of Leonardo’s greatest paintings, the Virgin of the Rocks, tells volumes of captive wisdom in time of the Inquisition.

Art and cultural history lecture covering the new awakening to Early Christianity and Neoplatonism during the Renaissance. One of Leonardo's greatest paintings, the Virgin of the Rocks, tells volumes of captive wisdom in time of the Inquisition. The only available avenue to reveal the re-found wisdom was, in his time, through art. We'll explore supportive paintings by Leonardo's students as well.
