Views of Arlington: Plein Air Art (Family)

Let’s have fun and create art outdoors! En plein air is a French expression meaning “in the open air,” which refers to the act of painting an entire finished piece outdoors with the artist’s subject in full view. In this family art workshop you will learn how to draw or paint a landscape from observation. We’ll choose one of the many spectacular views in our town and admire the scenery. Then we will capture the beauty of spring using materials such as colored crayons, markers, pastels, watercolor, or tempera paints. A list of recommended materials will be sent to participants. No previous art experience needed. Please note: Students will be asked to adhere to public health guidelines. Specific meeting location at Robbins Farm Park will be included in your Registration Confirmation email. All walks meet rain or shine. Ages 7+.
