SoHIP welcomes back Handel and Haydn Society cellists Sarah Freiberg and Colleen McGary-Smith, who formed the duo Tutti Bassi in 2012 to explore the rich repertoire of baroque cello sonatas and duos on original instruments. The duo chose some favorites to record on their 2022 album "Have Cellos, Will Travel" and is excited to share these 18th-c. musical gems with SoHIP audiences. The Showdown puts the best Fusion and Bollywood/Hindi-Film dance teams up against one another, giving the judges the unenviable task of deciding who is the best of the best. Fusion dance combines different dance styles, set to Indian music, creating its own distinct form of dance, while the Bollywood and Hindi-Film dance style is inspired by the musical numbers seen in Indian films and features expression, themes, and storylines.
