The Perils of Mr. Punch: Use It Up!

Mr. Punch’s garbage pile is so big that it nearly devours him in this hilarious hand puppet show! Modern Times Theater updates the classic story of Punch and Judy with a family-friendly environmental twist. Nothing ever goes right in this topsy-turvey world: the baby doesn’t behave, crocodiles appear around every corner, and the dog looks suspiciously like a skunk. The skillfully operated hand puppets are made of up-cycled materials, and are chock full of surprises and tricks, as is the elaborate stage. The show is rounded out with live music played on a variety of instruments, from the ukulele to the bicycle pump. It’s a low-tech old-time spectacle, entertaining for all ages!
