The Makanda Project free outdoor concert

The Makanda Project opens its 2021 outdoor season with a free concert at Bartlett Place, Roxbury.  The concert will include premieres of recently-arranged Makanda Ken McIntyre compositions, along with some audience favorites from past years.  Kurtis Rivers, Lee Odom – alto saxophone; Sean Berry, Paavo Carey – tenor saxophone; Charlie Kohlhase – baritone saxophone; Jerry Sabatini, Haneef Nelson – trumpet; Alfred Patterson, Sarah Politz – trombone; Bill Lowe – bass trombone; Naledi Masilo – voice; John Kordalewski – piano; John Lockwood – bass; Yoron Israel – drums.
