The Makanda Project featuring Jay Hoggard

Renowned vibraphonist Jay Hoggard joins the 13-piece Makanda Project for their next free concert at the Bruce C. Bolling Municipal Building in Dudley Square, Roxbury.  There will also be live painting sponsored by MassArt’s sparc! the ArtMobile, and youth from the Boston Citywide String Orchestra will appear as well.  Kurtis Rivers, Arni Cheatham, Paavo Carey, Sean Berry, Charlie Kohlhase (saxophones); Franz Hackl, Ryan Kapoor (trumpets); Ku-umba Frank Lacy, Tyler Bonilla, Bill Lowe (trombones); John Kordalewski (piano); Wes Brown (bass); Yoron Israel (drums).
