Lydian String Quartet players past and present perform Mendelssohn’s String Octet to benefit the Mary Ruth Ray Fund.
Described by music critic Conrad Wilson as “one of the miracles of nineteenth-century music,” Mendelssohn's beloved masterpiece String Octet reunites current Lydian String Quartet members Andrea Segar, Judith Eissenberg, Mark Berger and Joshua Gordon, as well as past members Wilma Smith, Daniel Stepner and Rhonda Rider, plus special guest violist Gillian Ansell of New Zealand.
