Celebrate the legacy of Pulitzer and Nobel Prize winning author Toni Morrison and see her classic debut novel come to life. Boston favorite Lydia Diamond (Stick FlySmart People at The Huntington) adapts the book with grace and subtlety. The Bluest Eye tells the story of Pecola, a young Black girl who believes the world would be wonderful if she could have blue eyes. Enthralling, gorgeously written, and incredibly emotional, The Bluest Eye is an American touchstone.

There are several parking garages within walking distance of the Calderwood Pavilion at the BCA. (The Huntington is not affiliated with any of these garages. The parking rates listed are valid as of July 1, 2019 and are subject to change without notice. Please contact the garages directly for the most up-to-date parking info.)

Street parking is very limited but some patrons have had luck finding coveted metered parking spots on Tremont Street. Meters are in effect until 8pm, though with the outdoor dining patio expansion in the neighborhood metered spots are more limited than before.

For the safety and comfort of all who attend our shows, and as required by the city of Boston, we are implementing the following protocols until further notice: All patrons, regardless of age*, must present proof of vaccination for COVID-19 in order to enter the theatre. Proof of vaccination can be easily provided by: Showing your physical vaccination card or a photo of your card Using Bindle, an easy-to-use, free app that keeps your information private, secure, and makes entry hassle-free. Well-fitted masks covering your mouth and nose must be worn at all times in all areas of the theatre.
