The Bach Project: Music for Bach's Favorite Instruments
This concert on Mother’s Day afternoon features some of the nation’s finest period musicians performing solo works for baroque ‘cello, harpsichord, and organ by the composer Johann Sebastian Bach.
The Bach Project at Ashmont Hill Chamber Music is Boston's newest baroque ensemble consisting of instrumentalists and singers, specializing in performances of the music of Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750). The first two concerts (performed to sold-out audiences) featured instrumental, choral, and organ music. The upcoming Mother's Day concert on May 12 is a new format: three instruments, each playing solo.
