Boston Jewish Film 360 Summer Cinematheque Presents: Tel Aviv on Fire

Salam, who works on the popular soap opera “Tel Aviv on Fire,” is stopped at the checkpoint between his home in Jerusalem and the show’s studio in Ramallah where he meets Assi, an Israeli commander. Assi’s wife is a huge fan of “Tel Aviv on Fire” and he jumps on the opportunity to get Salam to write new plots into the show. Soon Salam realizes that Assi’s ideas could get him a promotion as a screenwriter but, as his career takes off, Salam finds himself caught between Assi and the show’s execs. Salam can only solve his problems with a final master stroke.
