Taiwan Film Festival

This year, we are excited to introduce the inaugural 2019 Taiwan Film Festival, right here in Boston on May 26th and 27th. We have selected six inspiring and poignant documentary films that showcase the best of Taiwanese storytelling and artistic talent. Each film presents a compelling facet of human experience, and we are proud to share these stories with you and with a broader audience in Boston.

Each day, we present three films, followed by in-person discussions with film directors. The documentaries span a diverse set of themes and historical moments. These range from a secret Cold War reconnaissance mission across Asia, to Taiwanese traditional religious experience of invisible energy that guides people to finish their life goals, to the fighting spirit and undying determination of the most famous MLB Taiwanese player Chien-Ming Wang.

These movies have had a profound impact on our own understanding of the Taiwanese human experience, and for this reason, we are excited to bring these films to a broader audience. We sincerely believe these films can bring dialogue and have an impact on each member of the audience. With your permission, we hope to promote this festival and introduce these great films to people who have interests in this meetup group. We look forward to hearing back from you soon.
