Summer Series Organ Concert - Rudolf Innig

The 2019 Summer Series concludes with German organist Rudolf Innig.  His compact disc recordings include the complete organ works of Johannes Brahms, Samuel Barber, Franz Lachner, Felix Mendelssohn, Felix Nowowiejski, Olivier Messiaen, Horatio Parker, Josef Gabriel Rheinberger and Robert Schumann.  They have won numerous international recording awards, including the Prize of the German Record Critics, Cannes Classical Award (together with the Musica Alta Ripa Ensemble) and Echo-Klassik. His teachers have included Hans Martin Theopold and Friedrich Wilhelm Schnurr (piano); Gaston Litaize and Michael Schneider (organ); and Arno Forchert (musicology).  For many years the director of the Musikschule Coesfeld and a faculty member at the Hochschule fur Musik Detmold, Rudolf Innig now lives in the city of Bielefeld.
