Summer Series Organ Concert - Brink Bush

Brink Bush has made an extensive study of the organ works of German-American composer Wilhelm Middelschulte (1863-1943) and performed them throughout the United States, Germany, France, Austria, and Israel.  He has lectured on the composer at Yale University, University of Iowa, and the 2006 and 2014 National Conventions of the American Guild of Organists.  He was featured in an American Public Media “Pipedreams” program entitled Bach, Bush, and Middelschulte.  In addition, he is the editor of the book “The Innermost Secrets” by T. Ernest Nichol, a book about the performance technique of the late great Virgil Fox.

Mr. Bush was heard on BBC Radio 3, Late Junction Show featuring the Perpetuum Mobile of Middelschulte.  He recently performed Middelschulte’s arrangement of the Bach Goldberg Variations at Westminster Cathedral, London and Harvard University.  Performances for the 2019-2020 season include Liverpool Anglican Cathedral and the East Texas Pipe Organ Festival.
