Summer of '69: The Moon Landing

Presented by Boston Center for Adult Education at Boston Center for Adult Education, Boston MA

Jul 22 2019
Summer of '69: The Moon Landing

50 years ago, the Stonewall Riots sparked “gay liberation,” Armstrong walked on the moon, and over 400,000 young people gathered for Woodstock. Join us for a lecture series on the Summer that changed everything!

Arguably the greatest achievement of the 20th century, man’s first steps on the lunar surface changed our understanding of the universe. But 50 years later, does the moon still matter? And what about the future of human spaceflight? With 21 million space miles logged, former NASA astronaut and current MIT professor Dr. Jeff Hoffman is uniquely well-suited to guide us in an exploration of the legacy of Apollo 11.
