The Sandwich Glass Museum is proud to present its new exhibit, A Pinch of Salt with guest curator Maria Martell sharing her extensive collection of vintage, “salts.”
Through the ages, salt was used for food preservation and as a commodity to trade. It is then not surprising that “salts”, small vessels used to contain the valuable mineral, were creatively fashioned and cherished items of daily use at the dining table well into the 20 th century.
