This concert is dedicated to songs popular after World War I from 1919 through 1922 by Irving Berlin, Jerome Kern, George Gershwin, and more. “How Ya Gonna Keep ‘Em Down on the Farm (After They’ve Seen Paree),” “I’ve Got My Captain Working for Me Now,” “You’d Be Surprised,” “Mandy,” and “Swanee” are just a few of the classics from the years after Armistice Day. A superb cast of singers recreate this special time in Tin Pan Alley.
