Rituals and Superstitions

This program explores representations of the mythic in contemporary music through works by Matthew Evan Taylor, Steven Moreno, Jessica Rudman, Alex Temple, and Hong Da Chin. Together these 5 pieces present a broad range of styles and a cross section of American composers. Performers include many of the wonderful musicians that have played with us over the years: Sarah Brady, flute; Amy Advocat, clarinet and bass clarinet; Racel Elliott, bassoon; Aaron Jay Myers, electric guitar; Nicole Parks, violin; Josh Wareham, viola; Steven Marotto, cello, and Matt Sharrock, conductor.
