Rise Up for Rhinos!

Artists for Wildlife Conservation will host a fundraiser on March 16th for American Rhino Foundation featuring a silent auction, music, food and drinks. The event will be held at American Rhino in Boston’s Quincy Market with music by Wangari Fahari (vocals), Paul Thibeault (guitar), Casey Scheuerell (percussion and Berklee College of music faculty), and special guest Bakithi Kumalo (South African bass player who has toured with Paul Simon for many years). Tickets for $25 are available at http://bit.ly/RiseforRhino or at www.afwildc.org.

“We are delighted to work with American Rhino on this event,” said Suzanne Dean. “Wildlife education and conservation is critical to the future of our planet and we are creating a new cohort of artists who are eager to help.” The Boston event will bring people together for an evening of music and community building. Artists for Wildlife Conservation (a new 501c3 nonprofit organization) is creating a community of artists to fight for wildlife conservation and increase awareness about endangered and vulnerable animals. afwildc.org was founded by Suzanne Dean, a local musician and composer who taught at Berklee College of Music for 20 years. American Rhino Foundation supports and partners with African wildlife conservation organizations to protect wildlife and the empowerment of those who want to stand out from the herd.
