Ranky Tanky takes the traditional music of the coastal South and shakes it up with the soul of gospel and the bounce of funk, jazz, and R&B. The result is “get down” music, or ranky tanky, as it’s known in the Gullah language.

The Showdown puts the best Fusion and Bollywood/Hindi-Film dance teams up against one another, giving the judges the unenviable task of deciding who is the best of the best. Fusion dance combines different dance styles, set to Indian music, creating its own distinct form of dance, while the Bollywood and Hindi-Film dance style is inspired by the musical numbers seen in Indian films and features expression, themes, and storylines.
