Portraits in Challenging Light

In this class, we will cover how to shoot portraits in harsh mid-day lighting. We will use on-camera flash, off-camera flash, reflectors, and umbrellas to capture portraits in challenging lighting. Live model included in the cost of the class.

Requirements: Students must provide their own camera.

Need some extra guidance on your particular camera and all of its features BEFORE you get to class? The instructor, Brent Mills, is offering a private zoom-based one-on-one add-on to this workshop to review of your camera’s basic features and most useful tools. Get the most of your workshop experience by adding this special additional offering. Once register, zoom meetings are scheduled privately for weekday evenings prior to the scheduled workshop date, dependent upon other bookings.

60-minute post class, photo editing add-on:
Looking to learn some tricks on how to get the most from your digital photography? Offered by instructor Brent Mills as a post-workshop add-on, this zoom-based, 1 hour, group class on photo editing is meant to show students simple retouching of a photo in Lightroom and Photoshop. Using one of the photos from the previous class, Brent will send out the image in advance and walk students through each touch up step by step. This workshop add on will be scheduled with enough enrollment on the evening of the next day after the last in-person session. So if the class is a Saturday only, then editing is on Sunday evening. If it’s a Saturday and Sunday workshop, then it’s on a Monday evening.
