Pianist Pi-Hsien Chen: 1st prize in Schoenberg and Bach competitions. Appeared with London, BBC orchestras. Premiered works of Cage, Carter, Boulez. 1/27, 8pm@Jordan Hall. Program: Mozart, Liang, Schoenberg, Boulez, Schubert. Free student available.

On Saturday, January 27, 8 pm at NEC's Jordan Hall, pianist Pi-Hsien Chen, the first prizes winner in both Schoenberg and Bach competitions, who appeared with London, BBC, Concertgebouw orchestras with Bernard Haitink, Colin David, Charles Dutoit, among other renowned conductors, and premiered works of John Cage, Elliott Carter, Pierre Boulez, will perform works by Mozart, Liang, Schoenberg, Boulez, and Schubert.
