Set in southern Spain, the opera Carmen tells the story of the downfall of Don José, a naïve soldier who is seduced by the wiles of the fiery gypsy Carmen.
Attend an open rehearsal of Commonwealth Lyric Theater’s upcoming production of Carmen and watch their critically acclaimed cast, pianist and stage director bring this masterpiece to life. This program is part of the Newton Festival of the Arts. The full production will be held at Newton City Hall, May 17-19. More info here.
