Object(ive) Reception

The Brookline Arts Center is pleased to present Object(ive), a national exhibition juried by Carly Glovinski. Object(ive) will be on view March 15-April 19, 2019. A public reception will be held at the BAC on Friday, March 22 from 6:00-8:00pm at 86 Monmouth St., Brookline.

Object(ive) explores the influence objects have on contemporary life, whether the objects are commonplace, precious, functional, religious, cultural or symbolic. Our lives are continuously shaped by the objects we use and create. The meaning or purpose of an object may shift with time.

Selected artists include Amy Archambault, John Bassett, Mairead Dambruch, Laura Fischman, Erik Grau, Bredt Handy, Howard Hastie, Kelly Hendrickson, Claudia Hollister, Ellie Ivanova, Ann Jones, Kathleen A. Kneeland, Ray Larrow, Jackson Markovic, Rachel Maryam, Hans van Meeuwen, Rosie Ranauro, Andrew Rogovin, Rebecca Skinner, Kyle Stockford and Dawn Watson.
