Newton Open Studios (NOS) is dedicated to nurturing connections among artists, residents of Newton, and visitors through the power of the arts. With over 28 years of history, we take pride in facilitating creativity, fostering art experiences, and promoting community engagement. Each year, we showcase the talents of more than 100 visual artists and artisans, embodying our commitment to celebrating and showcasing local creativity. Our mission comes to life through our signature two- day event, providing artists and makers with a vital platform to exhibit and sell their work. Beyond this flagship event, we continuously strive to elevate artists’ visibility, whether they are seasoned professionals or emerging practitioners.
As a grassroots arts organization, NOS relies primarily on artists’ registration fees and the generous support of individuals and businesses. We are grateful for the backing of the Massachusetts Cultural Council through its Local Cultural Council programs, as well as the recent grant received from the Newton Cultural Council. This support enables us to expand our reach and impact within the community. Newton Community Pride serves as our Fiscal Agent, providing invaluable support in our mission to foster a vibrant arts community in Newton. Together, we continue to enrich lives, inspire creativity, and strengthen connections through the transformative power of the arts.
