Newton Open Studios 2019

One of the longest running and largest annual Open Studios events in the region, Newton Open Studios has over 150 artists at pop-up exhibit/sales locations throughout Newton. These pop-ups – at artists’ homes, studios, and local institutions – will be filled with paintings, jewelry, ceramics, sculptures, wearable art, photography and much more. Spend a day or the whole weekend enjoying great art and charming locations.

The NOS website (newtonopenstudios.org)  features an interactive map, a full page of images and information for each artist, plus artist lists by genre, by media and by name. The NOS printed guide also includes a full map, contact information and a sample image for every artist.

Special events, demos and locations with extended hours are listed on the website. All the NOS locations have ample free parking, and there is handicap access to approximately a third of the artists (noted on the website and guide). Red balloons mark the locations around town.

A “flash exhibit” preview reception will be held at the Newton Free Library on April 3rd from 7pm to 8:30pm, showcasing a wide sampling of the art and craft that will be on view during NOS weekend. Refreshments will be served and dozens of NOS artists will be on-hand.
