Over 135 singers will be performing major choral works of the 20th and 21st centuries, including Leonard Bernstein’s “Chichester Psalms”, Aaron Copland’s “Old American Songs”, and a new work by NCS Composer In Residence Andrew Maxfield.
The NCS Spring Concert “Voices of America” will celebrate the contributions of outstanding American composers of the 20th and 21st centuries. The concert will feature Leonard Bernstein's Chichester Psalms, Aaron Copland's Old American Songs, and the New England premiere of a new work by contemporary composer Andrew Maxfield entitled Celebrating Wendell Berry in Music.

Special Pre-Concert Lecture. NCS “Composer in Residence” Andrew Maxfield will be presenting a lecture giving personal insights into his work, "Celebrating Wendell Berry in Music" 90 minutes prior to the start of each performance. Admission to the lecture is included with your ticket purchase.
There will be a post-concert reception in the adjoining building's fellowship hall.
