NCS Music Director Ryan Turner
Join NCS and for an uplifting and inspiring evening of choral music with chamber orchestra, including Rutter’s “When Icicles Hang”, Finzi’s “In Terra Pax” and the world premiere of Zanaida Robles’ “Guidelines” featuring the poetry of Rhina Espaillat.
Music Director Ryan Turner will conduct the chorus, vocal soloists, and a 17-piece orchestra. The Greater Newburyport Children’s Chorus under the direction of Music Director Gina McKeown will also perform.
The concert, entitled “In Terra Pax” (Peace on Earth) presents as its centerpiece Gerald Finzi’s In Terra Pax, a dramatic and powerful rendition of the Nativity story.
