" Hope & Harmony", a benefit concert with Music Director Sir Simon Rattle

Flutist Julie Scolnik, Mistral’s founder and artistic director, has gathered an all-star orchestra drawn from The Boston Symphony, The Philadelphia Orchestra, The Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, and others in order to raise funds to promote access and excellence in care for underserved women fighting breast cancer.

Former Governor Michael and First Lady Kitty Dukakis, with Barry Bluestone, Professor Emeritus of Public Policy and Urban Affairs at Northeastern University, and Cathy Minehan, former President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston and Massachusetts General Hospital Chairman of the Board, will serve as co-chairs to the event. Boston Healthcare for the Homeless Program, Boston Breast Cancer Equity Coalition, and Greater Lawrence Family Health Center will be the beneficiaries of the concert proceeds.

All the musicians, including Mr. Rattle, are donating their services for this event, many traveling a considerable distance. Mr. Rattle appears with the permission of the Metropolitan Opera.
