The Melody Stanford Jazz Combo plays jazz standards with a fresh twist – revitalizing classic tunes for both jazz lovers and a wider audience.

With a style that reveals a deep appreciation for the Great Ladies of jazz, audiences often describe Melody’s performances as “mesmerizing,” and her sound as a “voice of a thousand colors.” Melody grew up singing in church as Pentecostal minister’s daughter in the town of Santa Maria, CA. After studying classical voice for several years, her passion for the Great American Songbook solidified while living in Chicago. Like many jazz artists, while she is largely self-taught, Melody’s performances are anything but ordinary.

The Combo features pianist Andy Lantz, bassist James Heazlewood Dale, and drummer Miki Matsuki.
